Try our Creamy Chicken Livers in a Rich Piquanté Pepper Sauce Recipe. A wonderful, easy weeknight dinner ready in 30 min! Serve with crusty bread & green salad.
500 g chicken livers, cleaned
45 ml olive oil
1 onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, crushed
2 Tablespoons of tomato paste
5 ml of smoked paprika
100 ml dry sherry, optional
50g PEPPADEW® Sweet Piquanté Pepper Mild Chopped or Hot Slices
250 ml pouring cream
- Heat the olive oil in a pan, and in a hot flash fry the livers for 2 – 3 minutes until brown, remove and set aside.
- Reduce heat of the pan and sauté the onion, until translucent, add the garlic, tomato paste, paprika, sherry, and PEPPADEW® Sweet Piquanté Peppers. Cook for 5 – 8 minutes.
- Add the livers back to the pan, and pour in the cream. Heat through and serve with crusty bread and a green salad.
